The Colletta di Castelbianco Sculpture Park was inaugurated when the first sculpture was sited in the grounds of Colletta in the summer of 2008.
Colletta is a recently renovated medieval village located on a small hill top in a larger valley twenty minutes' drive from the Ligurian sea and 45 minutes' drive from the French/Italian border. The slopes around the village are planted with cherry and olive trees in places and are terraced in others.
Colletta's quite unique geographic location makes it a wonderful, natural place for a sculpture park as it affords many different perspectives and places from which to view outdoor sculptures.
